The New York Knicks plan to interview Philadelphia 76ers assistant Ime Udoka for the team's head coach position, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Udoka played in the league for seven seasons between 2003-11, most frequently as a member of the San Antonio Spurs. He joined Gregg Popovich's coaching staff as an assistant in 2012, staying with the team until he joined Brett Brown's 76ers staff this season.

The Knicks will also interview Orlando Magic assistant Pat Delany, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Delany has been on Steve Clifford's staff - in both Orlando and with the Charlotte Hornets - for the past five seasons.

New York dismissed David Fizdale after a 4-18 start to the season. Interim head coach Mike Miller went 17-27, bringing the team to a 21-45 record - sixth-worst in the league. The team is among the eight that will not continue to play when the NBA season resumes in Orlando next month.

In addition to Udoka and Delany, the Knicks have also been tied to former Chicago Bulls and Minnesota Timberwolves bench boss Tom Thibodeau, former Brooklyn Nets coach Kenny Atkinson, and even former New York coach Mike Woodson.
