Blue Bombers' Harris wins Grey Cup MVP, Outstanding Canadian

Winnipeg Blue Bombers running back Andrew Harris was named the MVP and Most Outstanding Canadian of the 107th Grey Cup.

Harris is the first player in league history to win both awards in the same game, and the first Canadian to win Grey Cup MVP since legendary Ottawa Rough Riders quarterback Russ Jackson in 1969.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats couldn't stop Harris on Sunday, as the Winnipeg native ran for 134 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries while recording another 35 yards and a score through the air.

Harris is the first Bombers running back in 61 years to rush for 100-plus yards in a Grey Cup, according to the CFL.

The 32-year-old previously won Most Outstanding Canadian honors in the 99th Grey Cup while playing for the BC Lions.
