Cyborg apologizes to Dana White for misrepresenting backstage video
Cris Cyborg issued an apology to Dana White after the UFC president announced her impending release from the promotion earlier Friday.
The former UFC women's featherweight champion says she misrepresented a video that was posted on her official social media pages after UFC 240.
Cyborg confirmed that White was misquoted as saying, "And listen, whenever you hear me saying stuff I'm not saying ... the truth." She clarified that White actually stated, "And listen, whenever you hear me saying stuff I'm not saying ... negative things about you."
