Edwin Encarnacion had a gift waiting for him after hitting his 30th home run of the season against the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday night.

As Encarnacion made his way to the dugout, New York Yankees teammate Gleyber Torres presented him with a plush parrot to celebrate the milestone.

"I've been waiting for that," Encarnacion said of the parrot, according to Cole Harvey of ESPN. "It looked nice."

Gio Urshela posted a photo of Encarnacion and his new friend on Instagram after the game.

This is Encarnacion's eighth straight season with at least 30 homers.

"Thank God for blessing me," he said. "But I do the hard work every offseason, and trying to be consistent every year, it's not easy to do it. But thank God I've been doing it the past (eight) years, and I feel blessed."
