Dodgers select Tulane 3B Kody Hoese No. 25 overall
With the 25th pick in the 2019 MLB amateur draft, the Los Angeles Dodgers selected Kody Hoese, a slugging third baseman from Tulane.
Hoese broke out in a big way during his junior campaign, mashing 23 homers to rank fourth in NCAA Division I thanks to a disciplined approach at the plate and a concerted effort to drive the ball in the air. He has the skill set to stick at the hot corner but is considered a below-average runner.
