Minnesota Timberwolves president of basketball operations Gersson Rosas doesn't appear to be wasting any time in putting his stamp on the club.

Two weeks after being hired, Rosas plans to interview Miami Heat assistant Juwan Howard and Portland Trail Blazers assistant David Vanterpool for Minnesota's head coaching position in the coming days, league sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Rosas is likely to meet with Howard at the NBA's draft combine and is expected to speak with Vanterpool later in the week, adds Wojnarowski.

Interim head coach Ryan Saunders reportedly remains a candidate, but Rosas plans to look at external options before making a decision.

Milwaukee Bucks assistant Darvin Ham has also been added to the interview shortlist, league sources told The Athletic's Jon Krawczynski.

Saunders became the youngest active head coach in the Association after taking over for Tom Thibodeau midseason. The 32-year-old guided the Timberwolves to a 17-25 mark to finish 36-46 overall and outside the playoffs for the 14th time in 15 seasons.

Howard and Vanterpool have already drawn interest from multiple clubs for their head coaching vacancies. After a 19-season NBA career, Howard has spent that last six years as an assistant on Eric Spoelstra's staff. Vanterpool joined Terry Stotts in Portland when the latter was hired as head coach prior to the 2012-13 campaign.

Ham is in his first season with the Bucks after splitting the previous seven years as an assistant with the Los Angeles Lakers and Atlanta Hawks.
