"The Sandlot" is getting a television series sequel.

David Mickey Evans, who directed the 1993 baseball film, revealed Thursday during an appearance on "The Rain Delay" podcast that he sold two seasons of a "Sandlot" show featuring the original cast to an unnamed streaming service.

"It takes place in 1984 when they're all like 33 years old and they all have children of their own, and that's all I can tell you," Evans said.

A prequel to "The Sandlot" is also reportedly in development at 20th Century Fox.

Several cast members - including Patrick Renna (Hamilton "Ham" Porter), Tom Guiry (Scotty Smalls), and Chauncey Leopardi (Michael "Squints" Palledorous) - reunited at Dodger Stadium in June to celebrate the film's 25th anniversary.
