The Houston Rockets have been offering a first-round pick to teams in an effort to unload Brandon Knight's contract, sources told ESPN's Zach Lowe.

In addition to Knight, the Rockets are also dangling a pick in an effort to try to move Marquese Chriss, who has struggled to find minutes in Houston's frontcourt, Lowe reports.

Houston reportedly engaged in trade talks with the Cleveland Cavaliers to send Knight and a pick to Ohio in exchange for Alec Burks, but those discussions have since cooled off.

The Memphis Grizzlies have also had trade talks with the Rockets involving Knight, sources told The Ringer's Kevin O'Connor.

Knight is still owed $30.2 million over the next two seasons and injury concerns have made his contract undesirable without compensation. Cutting their luxury bill likely remains a priority for the Rockets, while opening up a roster spot for any future buyout candidates could help them during a potential playoff run.

The 27-year-old Knight missed all of last year with a knee injury and has only appeared in 12 games this season, averaging three points in 9.8 minutes per contest.
