Houston standout Ed Oliver got into a heated confrontation with Major Applewhite during Thursday's game after the head coach forced the defensive tackle to remove his jacket.
The All-American, who's been sidelined for the past four games, angrily chased after his head coach and needed to be held back.
Applewhite said Oliver wasn't allowed to wear the jacket as it is reserved for active players, according to Shehan Jeyarajah of texasfootball.com. Oliver didn't return from the locker room after halftime.
Oliver has already declared for the 2019 NFL Draft and is projected to be a top-10 pick.
