An undisclosed injury will prevent Dustin Poirier from facing Nate Diaz in the co-main event of UFC 230 on Nov. 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, sources told ESPN's Brett Okamoto.
The news comes on the same day the UFC announced a heavyweight title main event between champion Daniel Cormier and challenger Derrick Lewis.
Poirier was set to meet Diaz in what would've been the latter's first match in over two years.
Poirier last competed in July, defeating Eddie Alvarez for his third consecutive victory. The 29-year-old is ranked third among lightweight contenders behind Conor McGregor, Tony Ferguson, and champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
