Derrick Lewis dramatically knocked out Alexander Volkov in the dying seconds of the final round of their heavyweight bout Saturday at UFC 229 in Las Vegas.
Lewis appeared gassed and was hurting from a shot to the eye in the opening round, but the "The Black Beast" dug deep throughout the fight, weathering a storm from the Russian until his last-minute opening appeared.
The No.2-ranked heavyweight will likely now be aiming for a title fight with champion Daniel Cormier, though the two-belt king is slated to face Brock Lesnar next.
