Inter land Keita Balde on loan from Monaco
Keita Balde is back in Serie A.
The 23-year-old Senegal international winger has joined Inter on a season-long loan from Monaco, with the Nerazzurri reportedly possessing an approximately €40-million option to make the move permanent, according to RMC Sport's Mohamed Bouhafsi.
Balde played four seasons in Italy's top flight with Lazio before moving to Monaco in 2017. The former Barcelona academy product scored 26 goals over 109 Serie A appearances, with 16 coming in his final season alone, convincing the Ligue 1 outfit to spend a reported €30 million for his services last August.
He scored eight goals last season for the principality side in 23 Ligue 1 appearances as Monaco finished runners-up to Paris Saint-Germain.
Balde is likely to line up opposite Ivan Perisic as Inter's first-choice wingers on either side of last season's Serie A co-top scorer Mauro Icardi.
Inter have had a fruitful summer window as they aim to reinforce the squad for a run at the Scudetto and the Champions League, qualifying for the latter by defeating Lazio on the final matchday last season. Along with Balde, the Nerazzurri have also brought in Radja Nainggolan, Lautaro Martinez, Sime Vrsaljko, Kwadwo Asamoah, Matteo Politano, and Stefan de Vrij.
