Report: Ball brothers leave Vytautas due to injuries
Though LaVar Ball suggested his sons' early departure from their Lithuanian team, BC Vytautas, was the result of his discontent with head coach Virginijus Seskus, the real reason they're leaving the club is because of injuries, sources told ESPN's Chris Haynes.
LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball ended their run with Vytautas with two games left in the season, and had the approval of the team, according to Haynes.
LaVar, however, was quoted earlier by local basketball reporter Donatas Urbonas as saying, "We're not going to waste our time no more," and "coach ruined everything and he'll have to pay the price that Melo is not coming back."
The Ball brothers signed in Lithuania in January, after LaVar pulled LiAngelo out of UCLA and LaMelo out of high school. LiAngelo, who has been sidelined with an ankle injury, has declared for the NBA draft. He's expected to work out for some teams and participate in the combine, but isn't expected to be drafted.
