After a delay that lasted more than 90 minutes, the Pittsburgh Pirates and Detroit Tigers announced that Tuesday's game at PNC Park has been postponed due to rain.

The game will be made up as part of a traditional doubleheader on Wednesday, with the first contest going at 4:05 p.m. ET. The second will take place approximately 30 minutes after the first game's completion.

Jameson Taillon will start Game 1 for the Pirates against Detroit's Jordan Zimmermann, while the nightcap will see Chad Kuhl face Matt Boyd, according to Adam Berry of MLB.com.

It's the second MLB game that's been rained out Tuesday, after the Baltimore Orioles and Tampa Bay Rays were called earlier in the afternoon, and the 28th weather-related cancellation this month - now the most in any April since the league began keeping records in 1986, according to The Associated Press. The Tigers have been hurt the most by the bad weather, as seven of their games (including Tuesday) have now been postponed this month.
