Penn State's Juwan Johnson: Sitting out of spring game
Johnson is in a walking boot and will not participate in Saturday's spring game, Audrey Snyder of DK Pittsburgh Sports reports.
Analysis:
Penn State will be missing one of its starting receivers Saturday with Johnson sitting out due to an apparent lower leg injury. There aren't any specifics on Johnson beyond the walking boot, but there's no indication at this time that this injury will jeopardize his availability for the start of fall camp. Johnson had a breakout last season with 54 catches for 701 yards on 80 targets and is looking for an even bigger role this fall with DaeSean Hamilton and Saeed Blacknall off to the NFL.
