Report: Mitchell to play in Game 2 after MRI returns negative
It appears as though Donovan Mitchell won't miss time.
The Utah Jazz guard is set to play in Game 2 on Wednesday after the MRI on his left foot came back negative, league sources told ESPN's Chris Haynes.
Mitchell suffered a foot injury in the first half of Game 1 against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday when Corey Brewer stepped on his left foot. The rookie underwent an X-ray at halftime, which came back negative. He re-entered the contest in the second half and played through the pain before being pulled out for good midway through the final frame.

He admitted to limping following the 116-108 loss, but downplayed the ailment overall.
"I feel fine. I just stubbed my toe, nothing major," he told reporters postgame.
Mitchell registered 27 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, two steals, and a block in 35 minutes, becoming the first player since LeBron James to record at least 25 points and 10 rebounds in his playoff debut.
