Florida State quarterback Deondre Francois is facing a misdemeanor charge for possession of marijuana, sources told Jim Henry of the Tallahassee Democrat.
In a statement to the publication, Seminoles coach Willie Taggart said the program is aware of the situation and is handling it internally.
Francois is recovering from a torn patellar tendon, which he suffered in the 2017 season opener, and won't play in Florida State's spring game Saturday for that reason.
He was investigated for domestic violence in January, but police never arrested him and the case has since been closed.
Francois was named ACC Rookie of the Year in 2016 after throwing for 3,350 yards with 20 touchdowns against seven interceptions.
