Kerr blasts Warriors' complacency again after loss to Pacers

Steve Kerr has appeared more irked at times this season than at any other point since taking the reins of the Golden State Warriors in 2014, and Thursday was more of the same after a listless 126-106 loss to the Indiana Pacers.

The coach called out his team to reporters, again citing a lackluster effort against a lesser opponent.

"I think just caring," Kerr said when asked what the Warriors' main issue is, via NBC Sports. "Caring in general was the main problem. I'm embarrassed. I know this game doesn't mean anything in the seeding, but the playoffs start next week. It was an embarrassing effort, a pathetic effort."

It wasn't the first time this season he has used the word "pathetic" to describe his team's play. After a January loss to the Jazz, he used the same word, as well as the term "disgusting basketball."

However, Kevin Durant disagreed with Kerr's assertion Thursday.

"I thought we cared tonight," he said, according to The Athletic's Anthony Slater. "(The Pacers) played a better basketball game than us."

Either way, these aren't the dominant regular-season Warriors of the last three seasons, and it appears at times that complacency has set in with the two-time champions. Stephen Curry is out until well into the playoffs, and less-effective seasons from the likes of Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala are begging questions ahead of the postseason.

Golden State, which has already ceded top spot in the West to the Houston Rockets, needs to win its last three games to clinch a 60-win season for the fourth straight year.
