Paul Heyman: Lesnar 'most likely' leaves WWE after WrestleMania 34
With Brock Lesnar's current contract set to expire after WrestleMania 34, his match against Roman Reigns could be his last WWE appearance for a while.
Paul Heyman acknowledged this when asked by the New York Post's Joseph Staszewski if Sunday night will be the last time he walks Lesnar to the ring as his advocate.
"It's most likely the answer to that is yes. The reasons are rather public. Brock is eyeballing a return to the octagon. He's made no secret about it. He's out in Las Vegas at the UFC offices taking a selfie with Dana White wearing a UFC T-shirt. These are not secret negotiations," Heyman said.
"The fact that both our contracts are coming due is not a secret, either. Is this the last time that Brock Lesnar goes out to the ring in WWE, I truly don't know that answer because what we're focused on at the moment is ... Brock is very laser focused on the task at hand. That's always been his way, since he grew up on a dairy farm in Webster, South Dakota as a kid."
UFC president Dana White said in February there's a "very, very, very good" chance the former heavyweight champion will be competing for the promotion again and, as Heyman mentioned, further stirred the pot by tweeting a photo of Lesnar in a UFC T-shirt.
Heyman thinks the UFC would be wise to bring Lesnar back now.
"The three biggest box office attractions in UFC history are Brock Lesnar, Ronda Rousey and Conor McGregor," he said. "Ronda Rousey is now full time with WWE. Conor McGregor is a cottage industry all of his own, which frees up Brock Lesnar to come in and take over as the preeminent box office attraction in UFC."
