Tottenham is confident Mauricio Pochettino will agree to terms on a new contract that will make him one of the wealthiest managers in the Premier League, The Telegraph's Matt Law reports.

Law also expects Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Heung-Min Son, Christian Eriksen, Jan Vertonghen, and Hugo Lloris to sign new deals sometime over the next few months.

Pochettino would stand to make £8.5 million a season if he accepts Tottenham's proposal, Law adds. Only Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho, and Antonio Conte earn more in the English top flight.

News of a renewal would signal a breakthrough in the club's typically conservative approach to finances. Tottenham has put a cap on wages in an effort to limit the financial strain of moving into a new stadium, but executives have apparently realised that Pochettino and his players will need to be properly compensated in order to stay.

Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have been credited with interest in the Argentinian tactician, but there's optimism the new deal will keep Pochettino satisfied.

Spurs will apparently extend offers to the manager's pupils as well. Kane is reportedly pulling in a basic salary worth £90,000 a week - far lower than his Premier League contemporaries - while Dele is said to be earning far less at £50,000 a week.
