Gerald Green attempted to stand up for his team's starting point guard but may have taken his retribution too far.
After Minnesota Timberwolves center Gorgui Dieng pushed Houston Rockets point guard Chris Paul out of his way following a fight for a loose ball, Green retaliated by shoving the near 7-footer into the courtside seats, setting off a minor fracas between the two teams.
Unfortunately for Green, throwing an opposing player into some fans is a significant no-no, and the swingman was ejected from the contest after a quick review.
The Rockets still went on to win without Green, 129-120.
