Jaylen Brown is going to be missing a chunk of games as a result of his horrific fall Friday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The 21-year-old threw down a slam dunk late in the third quarter, landing on the back of his head after his hands slipped off the rim.

The Boston Celtics forward has now been diagnosed with a concussion after being placed in the NBA's concussion protocol, head coach Brad Stevens told reporters Saturday.

Brown is currently dealing with symptoms, but isn't suffering from any structural damage.

Stevens doesn't expect Brown to play this upcoming week, according to MassLive.com's Jay King. Boston is scheduled to play the Indiana Pacers on Sunday, and another three games next week against the Washington Wizards, Orlando Magic, and New Orleans Pelicans.

Brown sent out a tweet thanking everyone for their thoughts and prayers, adding that he just had a headache and was going to be alright.
