Jon Rahm: T20 at WGC-Mexico Championship
Rahm carded a one-under 70 during Sunday's final round to finish six-under and tied for 20th at the WGC-Mexico Championship.
Analysis:
Rahm got out to a hot start with a first-round 67, but would go on to play his next three rounds in a combined two-under-par as he strayed from contention throughout the weekend. The Spaniard's performance was hindered by a trio of double bogeys, but he also ranked T3 among the field in terms of birdies made with 21. Rahm has now been surpassed in the OWGR by Justin Thomas, who finished runner-up in Mexico and moved into the No. 2 spot behind Dustin Johnson. Rahm will take the upcoming off from competition after failing to finish top-10 in four consecutive starts since his win at the CareerBuilder Challenge.
