Toronto Raptors shooting guard DeMar DeRozan will sit out Tuesday's contest against the Orlando Magic due to a left thigh contusion, coach Dwane Casey told reporters, according to The Orlando Sentinel's Josh Robbins.

It will be DeRozan's first missed game this season. In 70 games, he's averaged 23.7 points, four rebounds, and a career-high 5.1 assists, with a career-best 56 percent true shooting.

The Raptors are in the midst of a taxing stretch that has them playing their ninth game in the last 15 days, with yet another contest on tap in Cleveland tomorrow night. DeRozan has acknowledged that he's feeling the effects of the compressed recent schedule.

Fred VanVleet also remains sidelined for the Raptors with a right wrist contusion.
