The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have acquired defensive end Charleston Hughes from the Calgary Stampeders, along with the No. 34 pick in the 2018 draft, in exchange for the No. 28 pick in this year's draft and another fourth-round selection in the 2019 draft.
The 34-year-old Hughes is a five-time All-Star, and racked up 99 sacks over 10 seasons with the Stampeders. That ranks second to John Bowman of the Montreal Alouettes among active players.
Hughes' 27 sacks over the past two seasons are the most in the CFL. He recorded a personal best of 18 in the 2013 season and has amassed double-digit totals in five of the past six seasons.
