New York Knicks power forward Kristaps Porzingis has been named as a reserve for the 2018 All-Star Game, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo.
Porzingis is averaging a career-high 23.3 points and a league-leading 2.3 blocks in his first season as the undisputed leading man for the Knicks.
He got off to a blistering start, averaging 30 points in his first 10 contests, but has since tailed off. Nevertheless, Porzingis delivers a rare blend of outside shooting and rim protection which made him an appealing choice.
