Arizona appears to have finally found its man.

Following what seemed to be a swing-and-miss regarding negotiations with Navy's Ken Niumatalolo, the university is expected to name former Texas A&M bench boss Kevin Sumlin as its next head football coach, according to Bruce Feldman of Sports Illustrated, citing a source.

Feldman also reports that Sumlin will retain Marcel Yates as defensive coordinator and bring in Noel Mazzone as new offensive coordinator.

Sumlin's contract will be five years in length, college football insider Brett McMurphy reports.

The 53-year-old would replace former head coach Rich Rodriguez, who was fired on Jan. 2 after a sexual harassment claim was filed against him. The Wildcats are coming off of a 7-6 season highlighted by the emergence of quarterback Khalil Tate as one of the most dynamic threats at the position.

Sumlin was dismissed by Texas A&M prior to the Aggies' Belk Bowl appearance after leading the team to a 7-5 season. In six years, Sumlin coached to a 51-26 overall record with a 3-2 mark in bowl games with the program.
