Best moments from Jon Gruden's introduction as Raiders' head coach

Stan Szeto / USA TODAY Sports

Jon Gruden was officially introduced as the new head coach of the Oakland Raiders on Tuesday, and he had no shortage of great new soundbites to add to his audio reel.

The event started with a video intro, highlighting Gruden's best quips from his first stint as an NFL head coach, and his time as an analyst with ESPN.

Owner Mark Davis held nothing back with a big introduction.

Then Gruden took over the show.

Gruden's reported 10-year, $100-million contract was among the first topics of the afternoon, and he was fully prepared.

Former Raiders safety Charles Woodson was there to ask another question about the deal.

Of course, Gruden had a dig about the end of his first tenure with the Raiders, which ended with an unforgettable loss to the New England Patriots in the 2001 playoffs.

Gruden would defer questions about the Raiders' expected move to Las Vegas to Davis, saying he's focused on delivering two good years to the fans in Oakland.

Gruden fully endorsed quarterback Derek Carr as the leader of his offensive system.

When talking about the evolution of technology in the NFL during his time in the booth, Gruden endeared himself to his audience a little more.
