Chelsea's pursuit of Alex Sandro has reportedly hit a roadblock as Juventus refuses to budge from its inflated asking price for the Brazilian full-back.

Sandro has been identified as one of Chelsea's top targets this month, but the Premier League club may have to look elsewhere for defensive reinforcements if Juventus continues to demand a £60-million transfer fee to complete the deal, according to Matt Law of The Telegraph.

Manager Antonio Conte is believed to have been encouraged over Chelsea's chances of landing the 26-year-old following a report that Sandro is unhappy at Juventus. The Italian side has also suggested that Sandro was free to leave if teams were willing to meet its valuation.

Although the current fee attached to Sandro is less than the £80 million Juventus reportedly demanded last summer when the Blues attempted to procure his services, Chelsea is reportedly unwilling to pay more than £50 million.

If Juventus refuses to lower its asking price, Law suggests that Chelsea could turn its attention to Alex Telles of FC Porto or Ryan Sessegnon of Fulham.

Along with attempting to strengthen his defensive unit, Conte is eager to add an attacker in order to ease the workload of record-signing Alvaro Morata. Meanwhile, Michy Batshuayi's future at the club is in peril with suggestions that the Belgian striker will be loaned out this month following a poor performance against Norwich City in the FA Cup.

Last week, Chelsea completed its first signing of the winter transfer window with the arrival of Ross Barkley from Everton for a reported £15-million fee.
