Report: Chelsea target Alex Sandro 'unhappy' at Juventus

Alex Sandro's time at Juventus may soon be coming to an end with news that his relationship has deteriorated with officials from the Italian side.

The Brazilian defender was targeted by several of Europe's top clubs last summer before Chelsea emerged as the favourite to sign him. Juventus' unwillingness to budge from its £80-million asking price eventually ended talks.

However, Chelsea could revive its interest if the defending Serie A champion is willing to accept a reduced figure now that Sandro has made it known that he's unhappy at the club, according to Matt Law of The Telegraph.

It's thought that both sides have agreed the best course of action is that both parties go their separate ways.

Although a transfer next summer is likely the preferred option for Juve, completing a move in January may be possible if a suitable replacement for the left-back is identified.

Either way, Juventus will likely be forced to sell Sandro for a reduced price, with Law reporting that a figure around £50 million may be enough to secure the 26-year-old's signature.

Reports last summer suggested that Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City also expressed an interest in procuring Sandro's services.

Chelsea's interest in Sandro stems from the lack of natural left wing-backs at Antonio Conte's disposal. Marcos Alonso has been deployed in the role for the majority of the season.
