Alabama linebacker Dylan Moses is out indefinitely due to a foot injury he sustained Monday, head coach Nick Saban said in a statement obtained by Matt Zenitz of AL.com.

Saban's confirmation came shortly after Zenitz reported that the injury happened in practice and could sideline Moses for the rest of the season. The Crimson Tide have been absolutely devastated by injuries at the linebacker position this year, and the lack of depth showed down the stretch of the regular season.

Moses, a freshman, began the campaign in a reserve role but was thrust into a more prominent position of late, and responded with 21 tackles and an interception over the last two games.

Alabama is preparing to face No. 1 Clemson in the college football playoff semifinal on New Year's Day.
