Kevin Durant is urging people to focus on basketball.
The Golden State Warriors superstar was asked about the scuffles in Wednesday's contest against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
"Did you watch the game or did you just try to watch for the scuffles?" he asked the reporter following his team's 108-91 loss to his former club.
"The story's about the game. We lost. They kicked our ass. They played a great game. Should give them credit for how they played, and we should be better.
"It's not about who's in each other faces. That stuff is not real, so please don't believe it. All the fans, they lying to you all. It's about basketball, and they played a great game. We didn't."
Durant registered 21 points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals in his first defeat to the club he left in free agency last summer. Meanwhile, his former co-star Russell Westbrook led the way for OKC with a season-high 34 points to go along with 10 rebounds and nine assists.
