There's a familiar cast of characters among the National League Cy Young award finalists, with five combined victories in the class already.

Clayton Kershaw, winner of three previous Cy Young awards and an MVP, had yet another great season. While injuries hampered his innings, the 29-year-old left-hander posted a 2.31 ERA and 3.07 FIP.

Second, the incumbent Max Scherzer put up his fifth-consecutive season with at least 200 innings, and held the opposition to a 2.51 ERA and 2.90 FIP.

His teammate, Stephen Strasburg, flourished as well, posting a 2.52 ERA and 2.72 FIP over 28 starts.
