Giroud 'happy' at Arsenal, fine with decision to stay
Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud says he does not regret his decision to remain with the club this season despite playing second fiddle to fellow Frenchman Alexandre Lacazette in the Gunners' starting lineup.
The 31-year-old was linked with a move to the likes of Marseille, West Ham United, and Lyon in the summer but opted to stay at the Emirates Stadium instead, even in a reduced role. He has come off the bench 10 times in the Premier League this season, and while he has scored a single goal in that limited time, he's not looking to make career changes right now.
"I am not questioning myself about my future," Giroud said, as quoted by The Telegraph's Jeremy Wilson. "I am happy at Arsenal and I am fine with the decision to stay because I want to. I am thinking that the story between the club and myself was not over and not finished. We will see what happens but I am happy at Arsenal for the moment."
He added: "Arsene (Wenger)'s always supporting me and there is a lot of trust in each other. He trusts in me and I try to give it back on the pitch when I can."
