Cowboys running back Alfred Morris will be Dallas' lead rusher with Ezekiel Elliott set to serve his six-game suspension, team owner and general manager Jerry Jones said Tuesday, according to Jon Machota of Dallas Morning News.

Jones, who made the announcement during an appearance on 105.3 The Fan, added that both Darren McFadden and Rod Smith will get more work as well.

Morris has rushed for 105 yards on 13 carries this season, but the majority of that production came on one 70-yard burst.

Smith used one 45-yard gain to bring his season stats to a total of 69 yards on 10 carries. Neither player has scored a touchdown.

McFadden has yet to play a snap this year, but he's just two years removed from a 1,089-yard season on the ground during which he also caught 40 balls for 328 yards. He totaled 104 yards last season while serving as a backup to Elliott alongside Morris.
