Report: Patriots' Hogan won't require surgery for injured shoulder
Reinhold Matay / USA TODAY Sports
New England Patriots wide receiver Chris Hogan won't need surgery for the shoulder injury he suffered in Sunday's win over the Los Angeles Chargers, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Hogan is tied with tight end Rob Gronkowski with a team-leading four touchdowns, and he's racked up 33 catches for 438 yards.
He could still miss multiple weeks, but the Patriots' Week 9 bye gives him a chance to get healthy. The team will reassess the injury early next week.
