Draymond defends retaliating against Beal: 'What was I supposed to do?'
Golden State Warriors All-Star Draymond Green can't wrap his mind around why officials chose to eject him from Friday's matchup with the Washington Wizards.
After getting smacked in the face by Wizards guard Bradley Beal late in the second quarter at Oracle Arena, Green retaliated and locked horns with the 24-year-old guard, with the two wrestling each other to the ground in a fit of rage.
They were both ejected from the contest as a result.

"I don't know what I'm supposed to do if someone hits you twice," Green told ESPN's Chris Haynes after the incident. "Man, you're taught as a kid not to allow that. What was I supposed to do?"
Green acknowledged that while he doesn't necessarily have a history with Beal, he does have a storied one with the league itself, which may have played a part in him getting the boot.
"There's history with me and the NBA. That's the only reason I can think of why I was ejected," he added.
