Report: Browns' Britt, Coleman sent home last week for missed curfew

Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

Browns wide receivers Kenny Britt and Corey Coleman were sent home from Houston last week after missing curfew the night before Cleveland's 33-17 loss to the Texans, Mike Garafalo of NFL Network reports.

Britt and Coleman were both already set to miss the game with injuries.

The wideouts have since apologized after talks with the Browns' coaching staff, added Garafolo.

However, Britt is in jeopardy of being cut if his conduct - and likely play - doesn't improve, a source told Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.

Britt - who's questionable for Week 7 - has been a major disappointment for Cleveland after a big-money free-agent move this past offseason, catching just eight passes for 121 yards and one touchdown in four games. He had the first 1,000-yard season of his career while with the Los Angeles Rams in 2016.

Meanwhile, 2016 first-round pick Coleman is on injured reserve for the second time in as many years, though he could still return later in the year.
