Maddon: I may have run onto field 'in my jock strap' if Granderson hit HR

The Chicago Cubs wound up winning Wednesday's Game 4 of the National League Championship Series to keep their season alive, but not before some controversy.

During the eighth inning - with the Cubs leading the Los Angeles Dodgers by a run - manager Joe Maddon was ejected for the second time in the series after umpires reversed a call against Chicago.

With a man on first base, Dodgers hitter Curtis Granderson appeared to strike out swinging on a Wade Davis pitch that hit catcher Willson Contreras' glove before hitting into the dirt. After Granderson argued that a foul tip occurred, umpires met on the field and overturned the call.

Maddon stormed out of the Cubs' dugout and unleashed profanities on the umpires before eventually getting tossed.

Maddon wasn't done there, however, making sure he gave more of his opinion during a postgame press conference:

"I'm not here to bang on umpires, but that can't happen," Maddon said. "The process was terrible. If Granderson hits a home run there I might come running out of the clubhouse in my jock strap."

Granderson ended up striking out on the next pitch, keeping Maddon in the clubhouse and saving the world from a potential eyesore.
