Jaguars claim Jaelen Strong off waivers from Texans

Matthew Emmons / USA TODAY Sports

The Jacksonville Jaguars appear to have found some depth for its receiving corps, as the club announced Tuesday it has claimed wide receiver Jaelen Strong off waivers just a day after he was released by the Houston Texans.

Strong has yet to see action this season after serving a one-game suspension for violating the NFL's Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse. The move gives the Jaguars an additional option to complement Allen Hurns and Marqise Lee at wide receiver after losing Allen Robinson for the season to a torn ACL.

In two professional seasons, Strong has recorded 28 catches for 292 yards and three touchdowns in 18 games.
