Cowboys' Scandrick fractures hand, expects to miss 1-2 weeks

Robert Deutsch / USA TODAY Sports

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Orlando Scandrick fractured his left hand during Sunday night's win over the New York Giants, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News.

Jones added that he thinks Scandrick should be able to play with the injury while wearing a cast. An update from the veteran defensive back himself, however, indicated that he'll first require a brief absence.

Scandrick told Jean-Jacques Taylor of NBC Dallas that he's having surgery on Monday, and expects to miss one-to-two weeks of action.

The Cowboys travel to face the Denver Broncos next Sunday, with another road trip the following week against the Arizona Cardinals.
