Ohio State's Burrow rips Maryland's $10K student promotion
Ohio State's Joe Burrow took exception to a Maryland promotion that promises to give $10,000 to a student Saturday if the Terrapins return a punt for a touchdown in the second half of their game.
Burrow, who was slated to operate as the Buckeyes' primary backup quarterback before breaking his hand in August, called out the gimmick as a form of student-athlete exploitation:
"Let's give the money that the players are making for us to some random kid to try to make even more money off of our "student" athletes" https://t.co/XYs9imkr8D

Whether or not student-athletes deserve to be paid by the NCAA has been one of the most contentious debates across the country for several years.
Maryland is hosting Towson on Saturday afternoon, while Ohio State has a more high-profile date with Oklahoma under the lights.
