Scarlett, Wells make it 10 Florida players suspended vs. Michigan
The suspensions continue to pile up at Florida as head coach Jim McElwain announced Wednesday that Jordan Scarlett and Rick Wells have been banned from all team activities.
The latest decision brings the count to 10 players that McElwain has suspended for the opening-week contest against Michigan.
The absence of Scarlett means the Gators will now be without their top running back, along with top receiver Antonio Callaway who was previously suspended, alongside seven other players, for misusing school-issued funds.
According to Mark Long of the Associated Press, the suspensions of Scarlett and Wells are for the same incident, meaning nine players have now been banned in its wake.

James Robinson was suspended earlier in the week for a drug charge, bringing the total to ten for the game with the Wolverines.
Scarlett rushed for 889 yards and six touchdowns last season while Wells didn't record any stats in his freshman campaign.
Florida is currently listed as a 3.5-point underdog against the Wolverines, a number that will likely grow with the latest suspensions.
