Florida's James Robinson won't play vs. Michigan after drug charge
Add receiver James Robinson to the list of Florida players who won't take the field Saturday against Michigan.
The highly touted freshman was charged, along with already-suspended linebacker Ventrell Miller, for marijuana possession a few days ago. That incident prompted reporters to ask head coach Jim McElwain on Monday if Robinson would play against the Wolverines.
"No, of course not," McElwain answered, as per Chris Harry of FloridaGators.com.
Robinson's absence will hurt the Gators receiver depth greatly, as star Antonio Callaway joins Miller and five others suspended for improper charges on their student IDs for items from the school bookstore that were then sold for cash.
Kickoff for the highly anticipated matchup in Texas is 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
