PGA Tour Power Rankings: Tour Championship

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

The 2016-17 PGA Tour season concludes this week with the Tour Championship at historic East Lake Golf Club.

Any player inside the top five of the playoff standings that wins the Tour Championship, will also walk away with the FedEx Cup title and the cool $10 million bonus.

Here are 10 players to keep an eye on in Atlanta:

10. Patrick Cantlay

The rookie qualified for the top 30 in just 12 official events played this year. Cantlay hasn't missed a cut all season, and has racked up two top 10s and a T13 in the three playoff events.

9. Marc Leishman

It only took seven years, but the Aussie is back in Atlanta for the finale. Leishman backed up a T3 showing at TPC Boston by going wire-to-wire at the BMW Championship, and is a combined 33-under par in this year's playoffs.

8. Matt Kuchar

Since The Masters in early April, Kuchar has ripped off nine top 15 results in 15 starts, including a T5 finish last week at the BMW Championship. The 39-year-old is making his eighth trip to the Tour Championship, but has only cracked the top 10 twice in his career.

7. Jon Rahm

The Spaniard sits No. 5 in the standings, thanks to T3, T4, and a T5 in the first three playoff events. Rahm has never played a competitive round at East Lake, but he's done alright on every other track he's seen for the first time this season with a victory and a pair of runner-up results.

6. Justin Thomas

With five wins this season, Thomas is the front-runner to claim PGA Tour Player of the Year. The 24-year-old made his debut at East Lake in 2016, firing rounds of 68-71-69-67 to finish in a tie for sixth. One year later, he's a better player, so expect an even better showing this week.

5. Paul Casey

The Englishman hasn't missed a cut on the PGA Tour since the Hawaiian Open back in January, and has two top 5s in the FedEx Cup playoffs. When he's qualified for East Lake, Casey has been a stud: recording three top 5s, and a career scoring average of 68.5.

4. Rickie Fowler

Fowler has quite possibly been the most consistent player all season, but has found the winner's circle only once. Since missing the cut in early June at the FedEx St. Jude Classic, the 28-year-old has finished in the top 25 in each of his eight starts.

3. Justin Rose

After losing to Sergio Garcia at The Masters, Rose fell into a massive drought, which lasted until The Northern Trust. The Englishman clearly found something on Long Island, and he's peddled it into two T10s and a T2 in the playoffs. Rose's track record at East Lake has been pretty impressive, finishing 2nd, 6th, T4, and T2 from 2012 to 2015.

2. Dustin Johnson

The world No. 1 was so close walking away with the FedEx Cup title in 2016, but handed it over Rory McIlroy with a T6 showing. Johnson won The Northern Trust in the opening leg of the playoffs, edging Spieth in a playoff, and he has finished T10, 5th, T5, and T6 in his last four starts in Atlanta.

1. Jordan Spieth

The Texan is seeking his second career FedEx Cup title, and the first since 2007 to win by being a No. 1 seed heading into the final leg. Spieth has been unreal since the Travelers Championship in June, going win, win, T13, T28, 2nd, 2nd, T7.
