Toronto Argonauts quarterback Ricky Ray is expected to miss four-to-six weeks due to a separated AC joint in his shoulder, a source told TSN's Dave Naylor.

Ray exited Thursday night's game versus the Calgary Stampeders after taking a shot from Michael Kashak during the third quarter and falling awkwardly on his shoulder at the end of the play. The 37-year-old Ray has dealt with shoulder issues in the past, missing 17 games following an operation during the 2015 campaign.

Despite his advanced age, Ray is in the midst of another fine season, throwing for 2,421 yards with 10 touchdowns and four interceptions through seven contests.

Toronto lost Thursday, but still sits atop the East Division with a 3-4 record.
