Allen Iverson was back in the news for the wrong reasons after his surprise absence from his BIG3 matchup in Dallas on Sunday.

A day after the three-on-three league announced it would investigate the matter, it appears Iverson could be in some trouble, as he was reportedly at the end of a gambling run that started Saturday night in a Chicago-area casino while his team, 3's Company, was set to take the court in Texas, according to photos acquired by TMZ Sports.

Fans reportedly saw "The Answer" at the Rivers Casino at 3 a.m. Sunday morning, and then at the Sugar Factory restaurant around 10 p.m. that evening. He was also spotted at the Rivers Casino on Thursday night.

"We had no advance warning and do not have information as to all the circumstances surrounding his absence," the BIG3 said in a statement after the initial no-show.

While no additional announcement has been made by either the BIG3 league or Iverson's camp, it seems unlikely the Philadelphia 76ers legend will be welcomed back with open arms after putting his team in a tough situation.
