Adrian Beltre's hilarious antics apparently went a step too far Wednesday.
As the Texas Rangers third baseman warmed up behind Nomar Mazara in the bottom of the eighth, second-base umpire Gerry Davis asked Beltre to shift back over to the on-deck circle.
Beltre, clearly comfortable with his location, instead decided to bring the on-deck circle to him, pulling the tarp with the Rangers logo toward him. That crafty kind of quick-thinking didn't sit well with Davis - who looked about one second away from cracking a smile - as the ump tossed Beltre for his shenanigans.

The ejection brought an early end to an otherwise perfect night for Beltre who went 3-for-3 to reach within four knocks of 3,000 career hits in MLB.
For the record, the circle was never moved back to its original spot.
