Mayweather-McGregor disaster in Brooklyn prompts social media backlash
Topping their electrifying visit to Toronto was going to be tough under the best circumstances, but Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor dropped an absolute stink bomb when they hit Brooklyn, N.Y., on Thursday.
Even taking into account that the two fighters were reportedly plagued by technical problems that made it difficult for those in attendance to hear what they were saying, what did manage to get through was hardly worth cheering and tweets from the MMA community painted a grim picture of the event:
Damn Ufc got punked today ...

Showing up late to Barclays hurt everyone involved. Let out a lot of air out of the balloon. #MayMacWorldTour

People saying the crowd was bad here. Not their fault. They couldn't hear anything. They wanted to be into it. #MayMacWorldTour

The best part about that press conference was the nap I took waiting for it to start! #MayMacWorldTour #MayweatherMcGregor

Seriously, I think they just unsold tens of thousands of pay per views. Is that a word?

The crowd is now chanting: Boring, Boring, Boring.

Mayweather screaming 'Yeah' might be the most annoying sound ever.
One of the worst train wrecks I've ever seen when it comes to a promotional event. Shut 'er down and forget it ever happened.

Mayweather and McGregor complete the fourth and final leg of their tour in London on Friday afternoon.
