Following in the footsteps of former manager David Moyes, Adnan Januzaj has completed a move to Real Sociedad after a troubling spell at Manchester United.

Januzaj arrived in the Basque country on a five-year contract, the Spanish side said in a statement Wednesday.

Sociedad coughed up €8.5 million for the Belgian international, according to the Telegraph's James Ducker, with a further €3.5 million payable in add-ons.

The deal reportedly includes a buy-back clause.

Januzaj exploded onto the scene at Old Trafford in October 2013, scoring twice in his first start for United to secure a comeback win over Sunderland.

He eventually inherited Ryan Giggs' No. 11, but the hype of his teenage years failed to yield permanent results.

Opportunities became limited over the next couple of seasons, and loan moves to Borussia Dortmund and Sunderland did nothing to boost his floundering career.
